This is a dance/music video competition using the 1TAHANAN Jingle 2024. Entries must have a modern, millennial feel rendered with pop culture treatment and texture. Materials may be loosely inspired by BINI, KPop, Hiphop, all-boy band, all-female group, any pop groups, or single artist music videos, which should cater to all ages, all sectors, and all genders. Entries must illustrate the Filipino values of “bayanihan”, industriousness, resilience amidst challenges, and perseverance. It must also depict a typical Filipino home in an environment of love, understanding, and care. Overall, entries must portray a feel-good, celebratory vibe. The material is a promotional video for political purposes hence must be suitable for all audiences. It must not contain offensive, discriminatory, lewd, and such other visually foul elements in any form. Make it fun, colorful, animated and wholesome.
3.1 DANCE STEPS
Entries must create original dance steps for the required jingle. However, while choreographers are given the artistic freedom on the choreography, the dance steps must be easy to follow and must have mass appeal, in the tradition of dance craze and pop dance trends. Be imaginative. Amaze the audience.
3.2 PRODUCTION/SET DESIGN
Depending on the concept of the dance video, backgrounds, scenes, sets of the dance can be either indoor or outdoor. This means, dance routines may be shot in actual locations, studio set-up, green screen set-up, or a combination of any of these treatments. Video clips to be used in the entry must be originally taken and not a splice of existing or previously published material. Be cinematic. Captivate the audience.
3.3 COSTUME AND PROPS
Costume is required. It could be uniform, thematic or coordinated depending on the concept/theme of the entry. It must be well-appropriated without prejudice to cultural sensitivity. The preferred (not required) dominant color palette for costume and/or props is red, blue and white. Sexy costume is allowed but should not be lewd. Costume must be visual, not vulgar. Be ingenious. Dazzle the audience.
3.4 LOGO VISUAL
The dance video must feature the 1Tahanan official logo and the numbers 118. A high-resolution digital file of the logo will be provided. The logo may be animated (post prod), used as background, used in props, or in costume, as long as it is not distorted and redesigned. The number 118 may also be used as props. Be creative. Delight the audience.
3.5 FINAL VIDEO OUTPUT / ENTRY
The final output may be edited in any video editing mobile app or software program. It has to be in portrait format, viewable in any smart or android mobile phones. All footage to be used for the video entry may be shot using any mobile device camera as long as the video output is of good quality. Be resourceful. Impress the audience.The ten finalists will be judged according to the following set of criteria.
ARTISTIC (20 points) i.e., Dance Choreography, Concept/Thematic Execution
TECHNICAL (20 points) i.e., Editing (Video and Sound), Technical Proficiency
PRODUCTION VALUE (20 points) i.e., Cinematography/Photography, Production/Visual Design
SOCMED APPEAL (40 points) i.e., Reactions and Shares
There shall only be one grand winner. The nine consolation prize winners will each receive P30,000.00.
There shall also be one winner for the People’s Favorite Award. Winners will be officially notified and will be instructed as to the procedure of claiming prizes.
